Not every detour is a delay. Some roads take us toward a view we would never have found by following the original plan. Sunlit Detours is a collection of stories about unexpected turns and the quiet warmth that can appear inside them.
When the plan changes
The album begins with movement, but not urgency. A route changes. A familiar destination becomes less important. Along the way, there are coastlines, open air, conversations that arrive at the right time, and moments that could not have been scheduled.
A detour can feel like failure when we are measuring the journey only by how quickly we arrive. It can feel different when we allow the journey to change what we were looking for.
The light along the way
Sunlit Detours is about the possibility that a changed direction can still carry us toward something good. The past plan does not need to be dismissed; it simply does not have to remain the only plan.
There is no promise that every unexpected turn will be easy. Only the reminder that some of them may hold their own kind of light.
